Julia MacKenzie

Julia works in NHS Education for Scotland as Senior Specialist Lead Equalities in the Leading to Change team, who offer a range of development programmes, opportunities and support for leaders at all levels across health, social care and social work. Prior to that, Julia was People Operations Lead at a tech start-up, where she focused on creating equitable, inclusive policies and improving the employee experience end to end, using experience gained from nearly a decade working at Amazon in a number of roles including Recruitment Manager and DEI Program Lead.

She is passionate about making people processes like recruitment, review and promotion more inclusive and effective and about upskilling leaders at all levels to improve the employee experience for everyone. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking her dog and swimming in Scotland seas, rivers and lochs.
